In Motion Organization is proud to offer two programs dedicated to providing resources and support to youth involved in the child welfare system. Both programs focus on scholarships for arts and recreation, access to therapy and tutoring, mentorship’s, and life skills workshops.
The Scholarship program is offered to youth ages 13-18 and offers access to mentorships, therapy, arts and recreation, tutoring, and life skills workshops for 1 year. Throughout the program we host in-person peer mentorship days, life skills and career workshops, as well as various events youth may join if they wish. At the end of the program most youth would have completed 12 months of therapy, 10 months of recreational activities, 8 cooking classes, and 10 financial workshops.
The Independent Living Programis offered to youth between the ages of 16-22 living independently. This program is 12 months long and aids in funding for education, arts and recreation, tutoring, grocery cards, hygiene products, and mental health care. As well as connecting youth to additional resources providing in-person and online mentorships, career workshops and a life skills course with various workshops and events youth may join if they wish.
